And every weekend the kids are shocked that I telling them to clean up again. One kid told me, “We’ll never be done!” Yep, kid, it’s ongoing.

The beginning of the school has had me running. Sp The beginning of the school has had me running. Sport’s physicals, meetings about big events for the 7th grade, PTO Costco runs, a church retreat, and starting a new job. Volleyball has started and I have physical therapy (again). 
When the kids were little it was a different kind of tired. The energy required for parenting is really nonstop though. Most days I just don’t have it. The amount of fuel and food to carry us all through is constant. 
The church retreat gave me time to kayak and quiet my brain a bit. I try to make space in the middle of my day for either meditation (or a nap). It’s a lot of stuff and taking breaks is essential. It’s weird that the most helpful thing when one has a lot on their plate is to stop and do nothing. Even a few minutes a day can stabilize me.
